Walter Parks
"Vestibule"
Playing at: The Bitter End
(147 Bleecker St., Greenwich Village)
Info: Tickets ($20) | Directions

Walter Parks has established himself as a musician over the past three decades. He's toured the globe as the lead guitarist for Woodstock legend Richie Havens, founded the New York City-based folk-duo The Nudes, and is the bandleader of the swamp blues-outfit Swamp Cabbage. Parks stepped out on his own in 2010 to record a solo album, which is due out on Wildflower Records in February. After making music in the Big Apple and spending time at a Buhddist monastery in France, Parks now calls Savannah, Georgia home. Download his track “Vestibule” from his forthcoming eponymous debut, which features Parks' gravely timbre over jazz-infused folk instrumentation.
