Brooklyn pianist Simone Dinnerstein is now in the top flight of classical pianists, and, to paraphrase a familiar song, she did it Her Way. She has another bestselling disc on her hands, called "Bach: A Strange Beauty," and she joins us to play live.

great segment on cbs sunday morning [last sunday],where they played a clip from a soundcheck show, with ms.dinnerstein.
great story,however, like it or not,there is, i think, a plausible argument to be made, for her cd sales success, being at least partially related, to her somewhat unusual back story,and the curiosity that emanates from that. i'd be interested, on her take on this,assuming, it is of any concern to her.
