Bryce Dessner of the Brooklyn band The National and the Australian composer and violist Padma Newsome lead the mostly instrumental ensemble Clogs. The band weaves textured layers of delicate sound into full-bodied folk-inspired compositions. At Saturday night’s performance at the Ecstatic Music Festival, Clogs will be joined on stage by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and Shara Worden, the singer and multi-instrumentalist behind the folk rock project My Brightest Diamond. Given the talent of these collected musicians, one can imagine some very interesting arrangements at the evening’s performance.
