In Studio: Keren Ann

On her new album, “101,” Keren Ann has packed clever wordplay into her songs -- and a little gunplay onto its cover. Songs like “My Name Is Trouble” and “Blood on My Hands” are sultry and perhaps a tad dangerous. As “101” gets a release today, she joins us to play songs live in our studio.

Nice. Would love to hear a duet with Antony of Antony and the Johnsons!

True, a lot of people are hyper aware of the "you and I" rule. But many people are so afraid of the rule that they use "you and I" when they shouldn't... like "The driver will meet you and I at the station."

I'm so glad that Keren Ann is going to be on soundcheck. I went to see her for the first time at Joe's Pub on December 8th and reviewed the show for my blog. One of the many memorable points in the show was her simple encore cover on guitar of John Lennon's "Love" to commorate his death.

She was great. I loved her songs, her band and her voice which I can listen to for hours.
