The Hundred in the Hands
“Dressed in Dresden

Playing Monday at Le Poisson Rouge
(158 Bleecker St., Greenwich Village)
Info: Tickets ($7)| Directions

The Hundred in the Hands makes highly danceable, disco-punk pop music. The Brooklyn duo Eleanore Everdell (vocals and synthesizers) and Jason Friedman (on guitar) released their eponymous full-length debut on Warp Records last fall. The two bonded over French house music, vintage hip-hop, '60’s mod culture and post-punk groups like Young Marble Giants, The Cure and New Order. The first product of their collaboration was this dirty disco jam “Dressed in Dresden.” It also happens to be the very track that led them to Warp’s doorstep after the song's release online back in 2009. Download the track above or check out the band’s video for “Commotion” shot in WYNC’s Soundcheck studios last winter below.
