"4, 3, 2, 1"
Playing at: Le Poisson Rouge
(158 Bleecker St., Greenwich Village) DUE TO VISA ISSUES, SHOW POSTPONED UNTIL MARCH 24
Tickets | Directions

Fresh off his performance at the Winter Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday, Canadian alt-rapper k-os (pronounced "chaos") rolls into town tonight to kick off his U.S. tour was forced to postpone his U.S. tour due to visa issues. The Vancouver-based emcee has easily moved between rapping and singing since he first broke through with his socially-conscious beats eight years ago. On this track from his latest album, k-os stays true to form. Opening with plaintive vocals over a classic hip-hop beat, he easily segues into a cryptic, personal rhyme in his trademark upper-register flow.
