pow wow!
"Bummer Summer"

Playing Sunday at 2 p.m. at Fulton Stall Market (South Street between Fulton and Beekman Street, Downtown)
Info: Tickets (FREE) | Directions

New Jersey brothers Eddie and Jeff Nazareno have been writing and playing music for 14 years. But the now 28-year old and 24-year old didn’t combine their musical powers to form pow wow! until 2005 (the lower-case spelling and exclamation point is of their own choosing).

Now a quintet and based in Astoria, Queens, the band has a pretty upbeat and jangly pop sound that comes down on the lo-fi side of production stylings. The Nazereno brothers have a lot of their self-released EPs and singles available for free download on their website. The band took 2010 off to get down to business with some “life things” and to hone their sound in anticipation for a debut full-length album due out later this year.

The track we have available above is an earlier B-Side called “Bummer Summer” and has been given exclusively to WNYC. Download it for free or check out the band Sunday afternoon, also for free, at the Fulton Stall Market as part of the Sound Bites Series in downtown Manhattan.
