With her vintage glamour and soulful twang, Imelda May is the newest queen of one of rock and roll’s oldest sounds. But the rockabilly singer’s latest record, “Mayhem,” which is already a number one hit in her native Ireland, is hardly a nostalgia trip. May and her band fuse retro appeal with a thoroughly modern wit.
