Playing Sunday night at The Stone (Avenue C and 2nd Street, East Village)
Info: Tickets ($10 at door) | Directions

David Garland, who is the host of the WNYC show Spinning On Air and the WQXR show Movies on the Radio, has released this exclusive track, “The Long View,” for download, which is on his forthcoming album Conversations with the Cinnamon Skeleton. On it, Garland plays a uniquely modified 12-string guitar. He is joined on vocals by Sean Ono Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl of the band The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger.

Conversations with the Cinnamon Skeleton is Garland’s 10th album and one that Lennon has described as “clearly the result of a lifetime spent investigating the relationship between notes and chords and words."

Lennon and Muhl will be joining Garland on Sunday night at John Zorn’s East Village fringe music outpost The Stone along with a string quartet. The duo is also featured in the video below, as The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, playing "Lavender Road" on Spinning On Air.
