In Studio: Tom Morello

Wednesday, August 31, 2011

Tom Morello, the Grammy-winning guitarist from the band Rage Against The Machine, is also a singer, songwriter, and now, a comic book author. His new series is set in the type of dystopian near-future that his songs often warn us about. He’ll play live in the studio.

what strange comments. here's a man who wants to do something, to make things better for a lot of people--and he's applying what he knows as best he can to do just that. i was really quite moved by the whole thing and am a bit stunned that others weren't. save the hammer for the man? this machine kills fascists? "a boy band?" these are rally songs, meant to join head and heart in ways that most crap doesn't. i'm all for it, and the world needs far more of it, i'm afraid. rock on mr. morello.

I don't care how good a guitarist Morello is. He was part of band of Communists who hate the USA, and blame the USA for everything wrong in the world.

He thinks he is so rebellious.

Alex Lifeson would destroy him.

Wondering if Tom has any insight on the dispute between Gibson Guitars and the Department of Justice concerning import and use of rare and protected woods.

Huge fan of Morello! Is Street Sweeper Social Club going to be doing any more work?

Good grief, this stuff is forced, saccharine earjunk. But what do you expect from a member of a boy band.
