Sad and pathetic, but unfortunately, not at all unusual. One can only hope that she, and other young women like her, will develop enough sense of their own self-worth to leave their abusers behind.

Why is anyone surprised? It is about marketing and money. Chris Brown was very visible on the Grammys (way too much for me) and allegedly just stole an iPhone from a fan who took his photo.

This hype will sell a lot. Money is more important than getting punched in the face.

This story about Rhianna and Chris Brown makes me nauseous. Chris Brown is a total jerk, and that was just confirmed through his recent Twitter rant. How can she believe he's changed?

America needs to grow up and stop trying to fix what amounts to personal issues thru an obsession on Celebrities. Rihanna is no different than any other woman who goes back to an abusive man, or a man doing the same with a woman who takes advantage of him.

If "we" all want real and serious change in this arena, it has to start at the street level, with the families where the women and men learn the repetitive behaviors of abuse. But tsk, tsk'n the celebrities is not going to fix a damn thing...
