(317 Clermont Ave, Fort Greene, Brooklyn)
Get: Tickets ($30-$55) | Directions

Since emerging in the early '90s, the jazz trio Medeski Martin & Wood has developed a following among jam band fans for its progressive, funk-infused arrangements and improvisations. Fittingly, the group and a dozen special guests -- including Marco Benevento, Sō Percussion, Miho Hatori, Anthony Coleman, Marcus Rojas, Oren Bloedow, Vernon Reid, Charlie Burnham, Chuck Campbell, G. Calvin Weston and Adam Deitch -- will perform at "Medeski Martin & Wood & ?"  on Thursday night at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple.

The three-part concert, which is part of the Undead Music Festival, is a night of improvisational music. MM&W will play the first set, followed by a second set, during which guest musicians will rotate in or stand in for Medeski, Martin or Wood. The night will culminate with a final set featuring MM&W and special guests.

For a show preview, download “Amber Gris” from Medeski Martin & Wood’s 2009 album, Radiolarians 2. Also, watch the group perform the song "Broken Mirror" from its follow-up record, Radiolarians 3, below.
