In recent years, M. Ward has come to be known as a masterful collaborator and producer. The Portland-based singer and songwriter teamed up with Zooey Deschanel for the project She & Him… and with Conor Oberst and Jim James for the guitar-wielding supergroup Monsters of Folk. But all along, he’s built a quiet arsenal of solo recordings. The latest is called “A Wasteland Companion.” We’ll learn more when M. Ward performs live.
