Song of the Summer 2012?

Monday, June 18, 2012 - 01:43 PM

Summer’s coming, and the battle for Song of the Summer isn’t far behind. In fact, this year, it may already be over.

It’s an unofficial title, but there's usually one song that becomes unavoidable during the summer months.

If you have not yet heard Carly Rae Jepsen’s frothy pop confection “Call Me Maybe,” well – you will. And probably should, especially so you can enjoy the Barack Obama remix video version of it.

How’s that for a fast-cresting wave? Summer doesn’t even officially start for another few days and we already have an obvious Song Of The Summer contender… and a viral video sendup of it.

Sounds pretty official to me.

Much better than the original is the Stacks of wax disco version with Nicholas Wells on The original is vapid. The disco version is fun!
