Britt Daniel Goes Spoonless

Wednesday, June 27, 2012 - 01:50 PM

Britt Daniel hasn't done a solo record in a long time - and he hasn't done a Spoon album since 2010. With his new band Divine Fits, Britt collaborates with Dan Boeckner, the guitarist/frontman of Wolf Parade and drummer Sam Brown (from the punk band New Bomb Turks). Their first single release, "My Love Is Real," reminds me of 80s bands like Human League, New Order, or the Cure. It may well remind you of Spoon. Check it out...

i love this, but i am a huge spoon fan AND a HUGE wolf parade/Dan Boeckner fan. i wasn't even in love with handsome fur's last techno-like album, but this sounds like a lost track from it that would have redeemed the whole album
