The new lo-fi rock band the Babies are actually a conglomeration of members from other Brooklyn bands. After Cassie Ramone of the Vivian Girls and Kevin Morby of Woods became roommates, they started collaborating on new songs and invited Justin Sullivan of Bossy and Nathaneal Stark from Bent Outta Shape along for the ride. On "Meet Me in the City," they revel in a garage pop sound that is raw, summery and rambunctious.
