The trio Plants and Animals hails from Montreal’s rich music scene (which also includes Arcade Fire, Patrick Watson and Chromeo). Originally an instrumental outfit when it formed back in 2002, Plants and Animals plays catchy folk- and 70's rock-inspired tunes that it has dubbed “post-classic rock.”

Hear some of the band’s latest album, The End of That. Check out its KEXP performance from March; the group’s set includes: “Before,” “Song For Love,” “The End Of That,” and “Lightshow,” which is also available for download above.

Plants and Animals performs with Bombay Bicycle Club at Webster Hall on Monday night.
