The New York drum pop collective Aa (pronounced big "A," little "A") is way more than a drum circle. Consisting of three core members (John Atkinson, Aron Wahl and Josh Bonati) who all play percussion and synthesizers, the trio frequently collaborates with other musicians in live performances to play arty tribal punk. "Glow Wreath" is from a 12" that was for purchase on the band's European tour late last year. On this twirly, high-energy track, Aa sing and shout over keyboards, synthesizers and various other metallic and electronic noises while banging out the gospel of rhythm.
