Since Silversun Pickups' first release, 2006's Carnavas, the L.A.-based band has displayed a knack for crafting ear-catching singles like "Melatonin" and "Lazy Eye" that mix modern rock, shoegazey layers of distortion and poppy melodies. The group has caught the ear of Grammy Award nominators, radio DJs far and wide, and, of course listeners -- who pushed the band's latest effort, Neck Of The Woods, to the top of the iTunes charts. The band caught our ear too, when playing a few of its new songs live in the Soundcheck studio.

Set List:

° "Bloody Mary (Nerve Endings)"

° "The Pit"

° "Dots And Dashes (Enough Already)"

Whoah! I just heard this band on Soundcheck tonight as I made my way home through the snowstorm! I scribbled the song and the band on a pad I keep in my car. The song "The Pit" definitely connected! Like a key into a lock. When I got home I RAN to Amazon to order the album! Only bummer was NOT finding a video on your website of the band playing this song which is WAY better than the other one you posted IMHO. Could you ALSO post the video of "The Pit" performance on your show, John? Pretty please with Topanga on top? It was PERFECT!!!
