Today on Soundcheck: In another case of art imitates life and vice versa, the upcoming Judd Apatow-directed comedy This Is 40 depicts veteran British rocker Graham Parker reuniting with his band The Rumour for the first time in 30 years for a new album Three Chords Good. Turns out, The Rumour had already just got back together. Parker and the band perform songs in the studio.

Then, Grammy-nominated jazz trumpeter Christian Scott brings his latest project to the studio.
