Local Natives performs in the Soundcheck studio. Local Natives performs in the Soundcheck studio. (Michael Katzif / WNYC)

In 2009, Local Natives stormed out of Los Angeles with the poppy and harmonious sound of their debut full length, Gorilla Manor. Bolstered by that sound, which was typified by the standout single, "Wide Eyes," the Los Angeles-based group spent the next few years on the road backing indie giants like Arcade Fire and the National — and doing a bit of headlining themselves. Now, the band's sophomore album, Hummingbird, showcases the group's nuances while keeping in tact the catchiness of their first record. We hear more as the band plays live.

Set List:

  • "Heavy Feet"
  • "Ceilings"
  • "You And I"
