Billed as an up-and-coming female electro-rapper in the vain of M.I.A. and Santigold (but dirtier), Amanda Blank first gained attention as a new talent in the Baltimore club scene in the mid '00s. Last year she released her debut album I Love You, which featured tracks produced by Diplo and Spank Rock producer XXXchange. In true party pop vein, "Make It Take It" bounces with relentless dance floor energy before breaking down into a mellow '60s bridge perfect for hip-shaking in go-go boots. Tonight's show is a benefit for the Keep A Breast Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating breast cancer.
