Since she got her start in New York’s anti-folk scene of the ‘90s, Regina Spektor has made quirky, eclectic and always personal music. This summer she can be heard performing the duet "You Don't Know Me" with Ben Folds, and her song “The Call” is featured in the movie “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.” She joins us to perform live in the studio.

Regina is an inspiration for any musician. I love her voice and she's very very talented. There should be more artists like her that are creative and different!

This segment was great, Thanks!

P.S. I wish I still lived in NY :(

I really enjoyed that. I'm glad she played "Folding Chair" and "Lucky Penny." Unfortunately Lucky Penny cut out for a few seconds on me... apparently that happened to everyone listening to the online stream though. Hope it doesn't do that in the archived mp3 on the website.
Thanks for having Regina on your show!

Silveradoer.

Everytime I hear Regina Spektor in any ad or movie, I have to hit the person next to me and squeal. It's like a gift she wraps in a bright green box with a big pink bow that she sends to us, we take, observe it, and then put it on our bookshelf between two snowglobes.

regina can do whatever she wants. she, like any artist should ultimately control where she is played.

Huh? It's HER music it's HER art....there is noone better to decide that than she is. That's not being on a "high-horse", it's called creative control!

She doesn't allow her songs into certain movies because they don't fit?! How presumptuous is that? She has THE insight into how her art will mesh with other art.

Once its out there its out there Regina. Get off the high-horse. I still love you.

I hope she plays "Human of the Year" or "One more time with Feeling." Or "genius next door." We need good recordings of these songs!
