Jeffrey Kahane is a globe-trotting concert pianist and conductor of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. His son, Gabriel Kahane, is a singer-songwriter whose music blends classical and rock traditions. The two exist in largely separate musical universes but this weekend at Lincoln Center, dad will play a new work by son called “Django: Tiny Variations on a Big Dog.” The two join us today for a sneak preview.
