After working as a session singer for artists like Shakira and Julio Iglesias, Raul Midòn became a singer-songwriter and guitarist with a unique percussive, flamenco/jazz guitar style.

Let's see, I saw Raul Midon opening for George Benson and Al Jarreau, so I'm thinking he's talking about George Benson. Raul was also kind enough to sign his CD's at the break and I grabbed one of everything and stood in line to get him to sign those CD's. I had never heard of Raul before and hearing him come out there on that big stage and bang out on that guitar was amazing. Him being a great guy is something I remember and appreciate.

But I am thinking he's talking about Big George, who I am also in awe of. Seeing George Benson and Al Jarreau on the same stage - my two most favorite Jazz Artists - it was like Oscar and Felix from the Odd Couple.

I'm really happy to see Lili Anel (pronounced Ahn-yell) will be opening for Raul Midon at the World Cafe Live in Philidelphia. Lili and I have been friends since college. Raul and Lili are great talents and will definitely compliment each other.
