New York City's Gato Loco are like a multi-headed Latin music hydra who, depending on the band's many possible formations, play everything from salsa and old time Cuban dance standards to “avant mambo” and punk-rock. Stefan Zeniuk, the group’s saxophonist, clarinetist, and ringleader, directs and ignites the band’s raucous performances. Their latest album, CocoNino, is an eight-song suite with ever-changing tempos and modes perfect for the dance floor. And if for some reason you can’t find the groove — wait a few seconds.
