The British jazz rock quartet Get the Blessing (formerly known simply as the Blessing), came together in 2000 over a shared admiration for legendary jazz saxophonist Ornette Coleman. In innovative, Coleman fashion, the band, which includes bassist Jim Barr and drummer Clive Deamer of the group Portishead, has crafted a noisy, rocky, jazzy sound that has earned them deserved buzz. This track from their latest effort Bugs in Amber rollicks with lively brass, sax and percussion before breaking into a cool, hazy interlude and charging back up again.
