Boshra Al Saadi did time in the punk-pop group Looker as a singer and guitarist for most of the 2000s, but with the start of the new decade, the Damascus-born, Pittsburgh-raised singer stepped away from the band to pursue her own synthed out pop sound as Saadi. In March the indie chanteuse released her debut EP Bad City on the Serious Business label (also home to Looker). The record's title track sees the sweet-voiced singer treating '80s inspired dance pop with a glitchy beat and a sinister glaze.
