"Innundir Skinni" (Music Hub Exclusive)
Playing at: Rockwood Music Hall (196 Allen St., L.E.S.)
Get: Tickets | Directions

Folky, Icelandic multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer Ólöf Arnalds has been a fixture on the Reykjavik music scene for a number of years and has been known to team up with a number of the city's artists, but in 2007 she struck out on her own with her critically acclaimed solo debut. This September, Arnalds will release her follow up Innundir Skinni, which was produced by fellow countryman Kjartan Sveinsson of Sigur Ros and will feature a collaboration with Björk (talk about your Icelandic superstars). However, the album's title track, which means "under the skin," finds Arnalds on her own, singing in her signature fairy-like warble over honeyed guitar.
