New York's own Two Man Gentleman Band began as a street busking twosome, and that may be part of the reason why the hot jazz/Americana/vaudeville-tinged duo perform with such big, rollicking energetic attitude. Their new live record captures all of the zest of their live shows while also showing off their flair for witty lyricism and lightning-fast banjo strumming. Album opener "Prime Numbers" is a boisterous tune that blends clever humor (it's a love song, believe it or not) with the exuberance of the New Orleans string band sound.
