Stunning live music from Mavis on this show. Can I be the first to buy her new CD, pre Sept 14 start?
Two American classics showcased, "Wrote a song for everyone" and "You are not alone". Genius weeping guitar from Rick Holmstrom threw me back 40 years, chilling my spine, with Mavis's voice of pain and suffering and survival. God Bless Mavis, Tweedy, Holmstrom, and WNYC, for live music that might exceed the CD, guaranteed success. Host John Schaefer for "Soundcheck, thank you too.
