was this event promoted on wnyc? I only heard of this when it was too late! kicking myself for not being there to see Phil - then again, I had no idea WNYC was staging this. Thanks WNYC.

after genesis moved on to disco path, occasionally listennig to mr. Collins' music, it seemed obvious to me that eventually he would land back in 60's Motown.

Phil Collins? The 'singing' drummer? Really? I mainly remember him for his kind and generous words on the death of Freddie Mercury from AIDS: "Well, what do you expect..."
Distressing, but not nearly as much so as the sound of his high pitched warbling. Boy, oh boy....

I've heard that Phil is considering releasing new material exclusively via downloads. Is this the case and when might we see this new material?

Phil recently gave an interview in which he said something to the extent of "an album of covers is all I'm capable of at this point in my career." My question is, is there something of himself that he gave to music that he can't get back? Does a career run on a gas tank of creativity that will eventually approach empty?

John,

I gather that aside from his musical pursuits, Phil Collins is a buff on the history or Texas, the Alamo and such. Is he going to be publishing his promised book, on the topic? Thanks., Mark.
