Béla Fleck has become a household name by reinventing the banjo for contemporary music with globetrotting compositions spanning from bluegrass to classical to pop, and along the way he's picked up 14 Grammys.

Now he's teamed up with the much-lauded, adventurous string quartet Brooklyn Rider for a new album, The Imposter, and are touring with a new composition by Fleck, written specifically for a "banjo quintet." The group discusses the new collaboration and performs the new work, Night Flight Over Water, in the Soundcheck studio.
