During the baroque period, this sassy sorceress appeared in a lot of different operas – and now, she’s at the heart of the New Opera NYC’s Armida project, which takes the stage at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center tonight. Take a listen to this selection from Handel’s “Giulio Cesare” opera -- sung here by soprano Julia Lima -- one of many baroque pieces incorporated into the Armida pastiche, written by New Opera NYC director Igor Konyukhov..
